Bandit coming to great you!

This picture was taken a few months ago, but Bandit is coming out to great JT. Plus Mitzi keeping an eye on all that enter. They are our guard cats,  great lizard and mouse catchers. Wish he and Mitzi would leave the lizards alone as they are good. But catch all the mouses you can kitties!

Trees

It is a slow process but JT is trying to grow us some shade trees. These trees were started from seedlings. When I was out this summer you could barely see them they were so small. Now they are starting to grow.

Just have to keep the cats from lying on them!!

  They are elm trees.

New fire truck in Montello

After many months of waiting. Engine 53 has arrived in Montello.

It will not be put in service until all training has been completed. Plus Tacoma Township will be added to the truck somewhere. Finally the residents of Montello will have another fire engine to protect the town!! Congratulations. Long over due but well deserved!!!

Patterson Pass fire pictures

JT and members of the Montello FD were stationed at a ranch up in the mountains 1 mile from the fire line on the Nevada side.  These picture were taken by a neighbor. This fire was named the Ryolite Fire. It started in Utah and then crossed into Nevada. Per Utah website it is 90% contained but after rain the past few days hopefully this fire and the one at 21 mile(named 20 mile) are now out. Here is the Utah website for wildfires: http://www.utahfireinfo.gov/. The us forest service has a website that show wildfires through out the US: http://forestry.about.com/gi/o.htm?zi=1/XJ&zTi=1&sdn=forestry&cdn=education&tm=8&f=10&su=p284.13.342.ip_&tt=3&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http%3A//activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/

Fire 21 miles north of Montello

This fire is located at the area named  21 mile on the Winecup Gamble ranch. The wildfire was renamed to 20 mile on the Elko county incident website. JT was the first responder and took this video. The picture below the video is what the fire looked like when JT first arrived. July 12, 2012
